Craig Breckenridge - FOH Engineer, SystemsTech

A veteran of the music retail / wholesale business for over 25 years, Craig is a native St. Louisan, through and through. He has distinguished himself as a consultant to hundreds of music stores around the country, fulfilling their needs for expert advice when it comes to making musical product purchases, and understanding their applications.

Craig is well qualified on sound reinforcement technology, and is up–to-date on the state of the music industry, having worked for St. Louis Music for 20 years, including a two-year stint with Mackie, and more recently, with the Hanser Music group.

A 1985 graduate of St Louis University, with a BS in Marketing, Craig gained stage and stagecraft experience doing theater production at Meramec Community College in St. Louis, and at Westminster and William Woods College in Fulton, MO.

As a musician, Craig has been a guitar player for 40 years and, has many years of experience doing sound for numerous small rock bands, including his own, current band, the “Genius Look-a-likes”. Craig has handled front-of-house engineering duties for many wildly divergent acts, from Harmonica orchestras at the Harp Attack event at Mississippi Nights to, more recently, assisting with productions for Sound on Site.

Craig cut his teeth in the recording world when he purchased an 8-track studio from Kevin Daniels in 1980, and now does small-scale digital studio and remote recording with a Korg D3200 recording desk, with 16 simultaneous input capabilities, with a great assortment of Shure, Sennhieser, and EV mics. Knowing how music is supposed to sound is perhaps Craig's best attribute as an audio technician, and his easygoing personality makes working with Craig a low-pressure pleasure.
 

Phil Clark – FOH Engineer, Systems Tech

Phil was born and raised in St. Louis, and has been around music all his life. At a young age, he played guitar and sang with a church group called “The Joyful Noise”. He later attended St. Louis Community College, where he earned an Associates degree in Commercial Art. He also is a self-confessed computer geek, has an A+ certification in PC maintenance, and is self-taught in maintaining Macintosh computers. He currently works for a Harley-Davidson licensee that does Screen Printing for dealers, when he isn't working sound. 

 Phil came to Sound on Site in 2003, and quickly showed an aptitude for the technical side of live sound reinforcement, as well as an ear for mixing live bands. He brings a wide range of musical interests to allow him to mix whatever style of music is being performed, and his analytical side helps him troubleshoot most technical issues quickly. He is also a genuine “people person”, which helps keep our clients happy, while doing his job.

Rob Warren – Engineer, Designer, Systems Tech

Rob was born and raised in the small town of “Georgetown”, in central Illinois. He has been involved with music, sound and bands since he was about thirteen. He studied music for four years at Millikin University in Decatur, Illinois, where his main instrument of study was the bass guitar. Part of those studies included studio classes and sound engineering.

Two years after school, he moved to Nashville, Tennessee, and pursued a career in the music industry. He worked on Nashville’s famed “music row”, doing duplication, editing, recording, mixing and mastering. A lot his projects were demos, as well as pre-releases of major-label projects. His clients included Polygram / Mercury, Warner Bros, Arista, MCA, BNA, BMG, Capitol and Sony record companies.

During his last few years in Tennessee, Rob was doing audio/video design and
systems integration. This included everything from intercom systems for small businesses, to a large-scale sound system for a 10,000-seat convention center. In this environment, he learned a lot of his wiring and troubleshooting skills.

After traveling extensively for his job, in 2003 he moved to St. Louis to take a staff position in a venue working as an audio engineer. Rob is accustomed to working with medium to large format consoles, doing FOH and monitors, recording and editing with ProTools, as well as working on mobile television audio production. Over the last few years, he has freelanced working sporting events with the St. Louis Cardinals Baseball , the St. Louis Blues Hockey, and the Rams football teams.

Rob has a very low-key personality and loves people. He says, "The greatest feeling is when the client is happy and everyone around is enjoying the music and having a great time. This is why I do what I do."
